Album Review: After the Burial – Evergreen

Though Evergreen opens strong thanks to the slasher/siren-like guitars of “Behold the Crown,” it does stumble off and on the rest of the way.

While “Respire” and “To Challenge Existence” also feel a little more dynamic in their writing, the rest of Evergreen feels consistently average.

In the past, After the Burial has done more to keep exciting and engrossing; however, this collection is mostly forgettable and stale.

The barrage plays out about the same from track to track, and the vocals rarely challenge themselves. It would seem After the Burial are now due for a facelift; hopefully, they can try something new on their next outing.
